Our journey with SHOESOXX is a few months advanced now and we are happy that you are still supporting us up to this day. That’s why we would like to take a look back with you today to the beginnings of our unique grip socks. We think back almost wistfully to the first official professional football game with SHOESOXX participation…

It is October the 20th of 2021. SG Dynamo Dresden is making a guest appearance in Gelsenkirchen for the first time in the last 27 years against FC Schalke 04, who were relegated from the 1st Bundesliga one season ago. For the fans, the game is an absolute highlight of the season and despite the corona pandemic, 54,526 spectators, including around 5,000 from Dresden, taking part in watching the game at the Veltins Arena.

On the Dynamo side, Morris Schröter plays the full distance as a right winger that day. The versatile player who came from FSV Zwickau before the season is the first professional soccer player that we were able to inspire to join the exciting journey of SHOESOXX. In the daily training sessions, he always tested our prototypes, and his feedback flowed directly into product development. In the game against Schalke, after a long optimization phase, the socks were as good that Schröter liked to wear them in Gelsenkirchen, which made us happy.

In a tough game, the hosts win 3-0 in the end, which does not fully reflect the long open and balanced course of the game. Nevertheless, this day marks a milestone in SHOESOXX history as the day SHOESOXX was first worn in an official professional football game.
